Regional Sales Manager – Building Controls

Location: South of England

Package c£45k (Depending on experience), profit based bonus scheme, fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile phone, company credit card for business expenses, and contributory pension after a qualifying period.

A leading Manufacturer (established for over 40 years) of high quality products which include: Controllers, Sensors, detectors, valves, actuators etc and are used / specified by most major controls companies, System integrators and consultants within the Building Services market.
The company have built a great reputation for providing a stable and supportive working environment for their staff.
They are consistent in their innovations of new products and adapting to new emerging market sectors.

The Role
• They are currently looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to cover the South East of England. Geographically the approximate area covers the territory starting from East Anglia taking in London, Berkshire, Kent and the south coast (Southampton, Portsmouth and Brighton).
• The role will predominately be centred on growing a very established customer base.
• You will be expected be expected to promote the company’s products to various routes to market which will include: Building Automation Installers, consultants, specifies, OEM’s and Distribution Companies, System Integrators within the Sales Area.
• You will also need to carry out technical and CPD presentations and be involved with Exhibitions.

The Applicant

The main criteria for this role would be to have a stable and successful sales background
• Industry experience will not be a barrier as full product training will be provided, however, a good technical mindset will be needed.
• The sales cycles can be quite long and complex, very often taking into account the needs of multiple decision makers so you will need to be a great relationship builder and possess a consultative sales methodology
• You must feel comfortable and able to sell against cheaper competitor’s products promoting the features, benefits and quality of the company and its products to their customers to gain additional market share, and have the ability to see and develop new market potential for both existing and new products design.
• Because of the size of the geographical area you will ideally live around East Anglia, London or Berkshire regions of the south of England area, able to work from home and also be prepared for some overnight stays within the territory each month and also when attending sales meetings / staff training sessions at the company’s offices.
