Head of Cultural Marketing - Music

up to 66k plus bonus

Based in Central London

Our client a global media brand is looking for an experienced Head of Cultural Marketing to have overall strategic and operational responsibility for one of the brands most high profiles cultural/music programs. Translating the global culture marketing strategy into a national strategy and create a locally relevant and innovative program are the key task. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong network of influential artists and creatives. Additionally you will also be able to develop new concepts and ideas with ease, evaluate the effectiveness and impact of our existing programs and align closely with all of the brands media business entities.

Responsibilities include:

    • Translate the International culture strategy into Red Bull event programs and concepts relevant in the UK
    • Create and execute high quality events of all scales and leverage international projects and programs
    • Establish and run long-term culture and music platforms as stand-alone or part of a global initiative
    • Plan and realize an efficient 3rd Party events program
    • Establish a rich network in the fields of culture in general and music in particular to be aware of new upcoming trends and movements
    • Establish a strong portfolio of key artists to work with on various projects and programs
    • Negotiate with artists and labels on cooperation deals
    • Negotiate and secure relevant music rights to ensure all created content can be sufficiently utilized via our media business

Requirements include:

    • Working experience, ideally in a music/culture related environment, with a solid understanding of the culture landscape.
    • Solid connections in different culture scenes and environments - a solid preexisting network.
    • Experience in dealing with Artists and related entities (Labels & Management)
    • Clear understanding of global entertainment, music and culture industry, as well as a firm understanding of the youth culture market & scenes in the UK.
    • Strong management skills with the ability to manage a team of specialists, leading external agencies and freelancers.
    • Strong use of Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
    • Creative and innovative mind-set.
