Your new role
As part of the global Security Strategy for 2017 there are several initiatives taking place around 5 key areas within the organisation:
- Risk Management
- Policies & Governance
- Incident Management
This role is IT specific and focuses on the implementation and subsequent BAU management of two Security Systems. The first is Implementing SIEM Globally which is a Log Monitoring piece of hardware. The second is Implementing an internet / mobile protection, cloud based product called ZScaler. This implementation is high profile as it touches every device static and mobile in the company and is the "buffer" between their systems and the internet. - Initially the main focus on the role will be global deployment of 2 main security systems (internet protection & SIEM).
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience in rolling out these products or others of a similar nature. Typically the roll outs must be global and to user bases of around 4000 so needs to be at least 1000 to hit the ground running.
Examples of products they are looking at, secure web gateway:
- Intel Security
- IBM SIEM
The individual will be working within the infrastructure team and will be drawing on resources from the PMO and the wider IT community to plan and execute the projects whilst liaising with locally based resources in regions.
- Excellent understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, POP, LDAP, SSH, RDP, etc.
- Detailed Internet, networking, and computer knowledge (Software & Hardware)
- Experience with security systems design, global deployment, through to day-to-day management
Advantage: CISSP, CISM, CERT-CCSIH, OSCP or other recognised Security Certification - also mentioned (CEH) Certified Ethical Hacking Certification would be good.
