Senior Project Manager - London Consultancy - Residential

A Multi - Disciplinary Construction Consultancy with offices across the South are seeking a Senior Projects Manager to join their Barbican office. The organisation has major projects with the Residential and Affordable Housing Sectors so relevant Construction experience within those would be vital.

The Company

A reputable Consultancy based in London with 5 offices across the UK, they work across several sectors including Healthcare, Mixed - Use, Regeneration, Education among the two mentioned above. A Traditional outfit who are growing and in revenue hence the need for new staff.

The Role

Typical Responsibilities will include:

  • agreeing project objectives and managing Project Execution Plan
  • representing the client's or organisation's interests
  • providing advice on the management of projects
  • organising the various professional people working on a project
  • carrying out risk assessment and managing risk registers
  • making sure that all the aims of the project are met
  • making sure the quality standards are met via KPIs or similar
  • using IT systems to keep track of people and progress
  • recruiting specialists and sub-contractors/consultants
  • monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
  • overseeing the accounting, costing and billing
  • providing reports, data and updates to clients on progress, programme and cost
  • Depending on the project, responsibilities can cover all aspects of a project from the beginning stages through to completion.

The Person

The successful Senior Project Manager will be reporting Directly to Partners and working on some of the companies most prolific Residential and Affordable Housing projects. There is scope for diversification across a range of sectors, with a clear route of progression through the company. The Assistant Project Manager must have experience on Retail build projects.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Undertaking day to day delivery Retail projects with scope to diversify.
  • Undertaking contract administration
  • Development of project documentation, programmes, master budget etc
  • Production of reports to suit relevant stages of the projects

PLEASE NOTE: This role will only be suitable for someone with current or extremely recent UK Construction experience working for a Consultancy, Developer, or Main Contractor but MUST have operated in a CLIENT FACING ROLE in a Project Management Capacity both pre and post contract.

Unfortunately, this particular role will NOT be suitable for an individual with a predominantly Site background or individuals from a Civils/Infrastructure/Roads background.
