The System Administrator is responsible for providing support to our client and its partners by providing direct services in the installation, use, upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer, server and Citrix systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

*Provide day-to-day desktop support functions for a critical Customer Call Centre site.
*Designs, installs, upgrades, configures, and repairs local and remote systems and hardware for the company, and its business partners.
*Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves systems problems.
*Evaluates, tests, and recommends appropriate technology and system architecture best suited for the company.
*Installs / tests systems and related components in a networked environment.
*Installs / tests the company's approved software and/or upgrades.
*Coordinate development and maintenance of the company's system(s) infrastructure.
*Develop and maintain an Asset Management database for all European the company's IT assets.
*Participates in system budget preparation.
*Prepare and submit Change Control Forms as required.
*Manage server volumes by ensuring sufficient disk space, verifying permissions and maintaining file ownership and managing storage quotas.
*Delivers first and second tier problem support and resolution within specified service delivery commitments across select EMEA sites.
*Works with security teams to schedule patches and other solutions for all identified vulnerabilities
*Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs, configuration standards and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
*Act as member of a ticket queue system to address and resolve day-today support requests
*Provides on site desktop support and solutions for the company's European Conferences.
*Provide 24x7 on call support.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
*Ensure complete and timely communications.

Minimum Job Requirements
System Administrators must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics.

*Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used in administering complex computer systems and SAN environment.
*Citrix CCP XenApp certification.
*VMware Professional certification.
*Knowledge of computer AIX/Windows OS and SAN systems.
*Proficient in Microsoft Professional Applications Word, Excel, Power Point.
*Strong customer service orientation and skills.
*Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
*Analytical and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail.
*Ability to make correct timely decisions, effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
*Skilled at working within a team-oriented / collaborative environment across teams to complete work.
*Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
*Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed for system changes and deployments.
*Self-motivated and self-directed.
*Ability to travel as required.

Desirable skills
*Knowledge of CISCO Networking skills, Routers and Switches.
*Knowledge of CISCO Voice and Security advantageous but not essential.
*Datacore SAN knowledge advantageous.
*Ability to communicate in another European language would be advantageous (German, Italian).

Experience & Education
*College degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent in work experience.
*Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT as Windows and Citrix System Administrator.
*Certifications are strongly preferred.
