Exciting opportunity to join this highly acquisitive, expanding global publishing business in a commercially-focussed, senior management account role. You will be working closely with the FD and managing a team of two, taking ownership of the monthly management accounts whilst developing relationships across the wider business and undertaking commercial projects on profitability analysis. This is initially a 12 month maternity cover (can wait for a month's notice) but great candidates will have the opportunity to progress within the wider group.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide relevant and clear financial information to the group and divisional management to enable appropriate reporting and control.
• Co-ordinate the budgeting and reforecasting processes across the division and discuss / review with budget holders before presentation to management.
• Provide regular, well-presented financial information to non-financial colleagues
• Manage and develop two direct reports
• Provide financial input to business development initiatives and ad hoc projects to enable the business to continue to develop profitably.
• Work with the Finance Director to develop management information, help identify KPIs and deliver new business processes and formats to support these.
• Develop positive professional relationships with key stakeholders in the business.
• Work with colleagues in the Group Finance function to enable them to carry out their consolidation

Key Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally with management accounting experience in a complex business
• Ideally experience of a media or subscription-based business
• Well-organised with strong attention to detail
• Good team-member, respected and trusted by colleagues
