We are looking for an experienced, and professional Occupational Therapy Practitioner to join an Integrated Adult and Children Occupational therapy team, in North London.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for and provide specialist skills and knowledge regarding the provision of Occupational Therapy. You will lead and supervise staff in the team, and work together to continually improve the service.

You will have an excellent knowledge with regards to complex cases, home adaptations and the Disabled Facilities Grant process. It is also essential that you have advanced moving and handling competencies. You will be required to supervise both qualified occupational therapists and unqualified OT assistants and act as a source for specialist information with regards to occupational therapy interventions for other professional colleagues. The role also includes completing safeguarding adult investigations, and will involve chairing some safeguarding strategy and protection planning meetings when required.

You will need an Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) or equivalent Occupational Therapy Diploma qualification, and be HPC registered. Evidence of significant post qualification experience in working with adults in the Health Sector or Social Care is required.

Patience, sensitivity and the ability to form positive relationships with people are essential qualities for this post, as are self-motivation, the ability to organise your time and workload effectively, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of computer literacy. Ideally you will have supervisory and management experience, demonstrating good leadership skills.
