The procurement team are responsible for sourcing and managing an incredibly diverse range of works, goods and services, from; Cardiovascular Disease Prevention to multi-million pound housing developments, to support the council fulfilling its requirements to the diversity of people who live, work, study and visit London

The Council spends approximately £450 million on third party spend

Specific Purpose of current role

  • Lead on major Construction works projects/programmes.
  • Develop and deliver category strategies for areas to be addressed within the specific procurement plan and agree the strategy with the Head of Category Management and internal stakeholders.
  • Maximise the use of the Councils funds by identifying best practice and leveraging spend within the Council's for the procurement categories managed.
  • Deliver the procurement category strategy including sourcing activities which generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets through insight and analysis of category and sub categories areas.
