An ambitious, successful Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager is required to drive Public Sector Sales for a rapidly growing UK Charity across the South of the UK.

SALARY: £28,000 - £30,000 OTE: Generous Bonus

BENEFITS: Company Car, 25 days holiday, laptop, phone, overnight expenses, meal allowance, benefits package.

LOCATION: Home Based covering London.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Reading, Slough, Windsor, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Guildford, St Albans, Aylesbury, Swindon, Newbury, Oxford, High Wycombe, Bracknell.

JOB SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager – Public Sector - South

This newly created role is a great opportunity to join the growing Sales team of a fast changing, charitable organisation. Covering the South of the UK, including London, you will develop new opportunities for our comprehensive range of services, training programmes and support products across the Public Sector.

Your main targets will include: Local Authorities, Councils, Education, Blue Light Services and NHS.

You will be primarily focused on uncovering new business opportunities as well as increasing revenues from existing clients, the split will be 60% new business / 40% account management.

REQUIREMENTS: Area Sales Manager – Public Sector - South

You MUST have a Business to Business track record from either the Public Sector or Commercial Sector and ideally in a solutions sales capacity.

You will be:
* An energetic, consultative, sales professional with a demonstrable track record of success.
* A passionate advocate for our organisation, a supreme relationship builder and someone who can build trust through integrity.
* Highly self- motivated and organised - This is a home based role covering the whole of the South UK but primarily focussed around London, M40, M4 and M3 corridors so you will need excellent territory planning skills.
* Responsible for booking your own meetings, chasing up leads and closing deals, so experience of the full sales cycle is vital.

Full training on all of our services will be given; you just need to bring the right attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
