Our client is a leading media owner with an impressive portfolio of events. They are looking for an experienced event manger join the team for 9 months starting in March.

The successful candidate will join a team of 10 people and will be responsible for coordinating bespoke conferences, seminars, summits, trade shows and receptions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Event Manger to work at an exciting, multi-platform media business with market-leading magazines, events, research and online portals. Reporting to the Event Director the role's core responsibilities will include:

* To support and assist in the delivery of global events
* Plan and execute event programmes
* Assist with sourcing venues
* Assist with supplier research and negotiations
* Managing on-side production at events
* Work within budget
* Deal with event enquiries
* Managing the creation and updating of event websites
* Liaise with potential conference speakers, contributors and event sponsors as required
* Assisting with event marketing when required
* Undertake any reasonable task that may be requested

The successful Event Manger should possess the following skills and experience:

* Bachelor's Degree
* Minimum 1 years of post-graduate experience event/experiential planning within a Global company
environment, agency or media/news organization.
* Excellent organisation skills, meticulous attention to detail
* Good interpersonal skills - confidence to present observations/advice to (senior) colleagues and clients
* Knowledge and experience of working in an events team
* "Can do" attitude to take ownership of plans
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in managing an event from start to finish, including budget management
* Ability to work under pressure and handle a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously
* Ability to work within a budget
* Able to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Team player willing to adapt to a fast paced environment and offer high quality admin support
* IT knowledge
