Sales & Marketing Manager -Conference & Roundtables (Finance)

£60,000+ OTE 85k

London - International Travel

The Role…Sales & Marketing manager will be responsible for the performance and delivery of the London Sales desk. The sales team are focused on selling conference and roundtable sponsorships, sponsorship of proprietary research projects and advertising space within magazine and associated websites. Managing 4+ sales executives.

Skills Required… The role will require a dynamic and proven sales & marketing manager, preferably with at least 6 years management experience who is looking for a role in a growth environment. The ideal candidate will have sold successfully to financial institutions internationally not just locally, have a good knowledge of the financial and professional services marketplaces. They will be expected to orchestrate smart prospect marketing campaigns, oversight of database development and implement efficient subscriber and delegate acquisition campaigns.

The Candidate… will be a proven achiever and natural communicator with excellent presentation skills, confident telephone manner and a strong proposal writer. They will be a strong networker who can demonstrate the ability to build and retain a tight rolodex of clients, understand the need for teams to deliver on their KPI’s and frequently conduct in person meetings. They will be well versed in the importance of achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales and marketing performance targets.

The candidate will need to have a strong pedigree of Customer relationship management and strategic marketing experience.

The primary drivers for success as a Sales & Marketing Manager will be the following;

1. Achieving revenue targets on both a personal and sales team basis

2. Maximizing yield across the product portfolio

3. Achieving a set number of KPI's per week for the sales team and personal performance

4. Actively seek referrals and prospect efficiently

5. Responsible for sales training and implementation

6. Oversee the recruitment and retention of sales staff

Key attributes required to fulfil the positions remit and responsibilities in this demanding environments are:

  • Proven sales delivery and management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills both orally and written
  • Excellent presentational skills and the ability to close efficiently.
  • Effective Branding and PR management experience
  • Familiarity with database management and development
  • Have a strategic marketing perspective
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
