We are currently looking for a Sales office manager to join our team.

Main responsibilities

  • To support the Senior Sales Manager in achievement of team budgets
  • To support the Senior Sales Manager with completion of the Plan document, contribute ideas and with carry out sales & marketing activity as agreed
  • Participate in all relevant sales activity including familiarization trips, telesales days, conversion days, showcase events, wedding fayres and sales campaigns
  • Follow LVP sales process in all areas including enquiry handling, show rounds and reporting
  • Achieve a minimum % for Delphi Compliance for the venue
  • Achieve a minimum % for Sandown Mystery Shopper programme for the venue
  • Be aware of competitor activities & industry trends and carry out competitor research on a quarterly basis
  • Participate in sales campaigns, sales activity and promotions as required
  • Undertake training and development identified as required in reviews and appraisals for both self and team
  • Demonstrate best working practices in all duties and comply with company manuals
  • To manage and motivate the Conference & Events CoordinatorIdeal candidate
    • At least 2 years’ experience within a hotel, venue or MICE agency

    • Experience of the hospitality industry, ideally with a catering or conference centre/hotel background
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Computer literate and confident in MS Excel, Word and Outlook

    • Venue industry knowledge

    • Knowledge of diary management systems

    • Must have a clean and full UK driving license with access to a car

    • Ability to deal both on the phone and in electronic communications effectively with client and venues and to gain support or internal colleagues

    • Passionate about hospitality, sales and customer service
    • Ability to multi-task, think fast and to deliver solutions to customer requirements
    • Creative in thinking and approach, confidence, enjoys a challenge, a good sense of humour, flexible and forward thinking to anticipate problems before they arise
