Our Peterborough based client is currently seeking a Purchasing Co-ordinator to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and expanding business and to be part of a friendly and professional internal sales team. The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with suppliers across the UK, negotiating on prices, maintaining stock levels and generating purchase orders.
Our client is seeking a strong customer service professional; previous purchasing experience is highly advantageous but not essential to be considered for this vacancy.
You must be a strong communicator, incredibly organised in your work and able to manage multiple tasks. We are seeking a strong team player who enjoys working in a busy and fun team environment.
- Maintain supplier relations
- Work alongside colleagues to maintain consistent stock levels
- Negotiate bulk and one off prices
- Generate purchase orders
- Manage supplier returns
- Build strong and lasting business relationships with a range of suppliers across the UK
- Customer service and general administration
