Accounts Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a family run business based in Kelvedon in their accounts department.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • To prepare monthly insurer reconciliations and Bordereau analysis
  • To prepare bacs transfers for paying suppliers and insurers
  • To process refunds to clients where appropriate
  • To prepare cheques/cash for banking
  • Recording of customer receipts
  • To reconcile petty cash at Maldon
  • To manage Petty Cash at Kelvedon
  • To carry out any duties required by the Financial Director to assist in the day to day running of the Accounts function in the company
  • To reconcile daily cashbook
  • To reconcile monthly epdq statements
  • To prepare bought ledger invoices and payments for posting into the XERO accounting system

Skills Required:

  • Strong accounts background
  • AAT qualified
  • Technical accounting knowledge backed up by a diligent approach
  • High level numeracy and analytical skills essential
  • Own transport essential

Desired skills:

  • Previous experience of working in an Insurance Brokers in the Accounts department
  • Working knowledge of XERO preferred

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm

20 days holiday plus bank holiday

Pension scheme in place

Salary dependant on experience: £15500 - £17500
