A marketing communications agency is looking for a Finance Manager for a 3 months+ hands on role at £40-£45k (pro-rata). This company is independently owned and with an enviable client list that has led to the ongoing growth of the business since inception but particularly over the last 3 years. In these last 2 years the Gross margin of the business has increased by 21% and 34% respectively and the operating profit has increased from £110k in the year ending 31 August 2014 to £503k for the year ending 31 August 2015 and a projected £750k for 2016. At the same time the number of full time staff over this period has increased from 32 to 40 and is budgeted to increase further to over 50 people in 2016/17.
Your new role
The role is an integral part of the business covering all aspects of financial and management accounting as well as financial control of the business operations. It is a role well suited to someone looking for their "next step up" before potentially becoming a Finance Director yourself. Key Responsibilities include:
- Complete preparation of month end management accounts including the reporting pack of P&L, Balance Sheet, cashflow and all other analyses required including client profitability, time utilisation analyses and business unit profitability.
- Preparation of first draft of annual budget including year on year analyses to assist appropriate decision making on allocation of budget.
- Preparation of year end accounts including all schedules necessary for audit purposes
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ACA/ International Equivalent). You will have previous experience working with Paprika system. You will have a track record of having hands on approach in a company taking on senior roles.
What you'll get in return
