The Sheiling Ringwood is an independent school and college providing education on a residential or day basis for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs. We provide education and care within a beautiful and spacious natural environment where all staff work together to make a real and positive difference in the lives of our students. Ideally you will have previous relevant work experience and/or qualifications, and demonstrable capacity to support learning activities and progress for our young people.

Working with our college students aged 19 - 25 years, who have varied learning needs and often quite complex support needs, you’ll be assisting our teachers and other colleagues to deliver learning programmes; both in the classroom and the community. Typically, your role will be to support the class teacher to deliver specific curriculum sessions, working on a 1-1 basis with students in their small class group, attending to their learning and physical needs including therapy programmes and helping them meet their personal development targets.

Applicants should be good communicators, empathetic, creative and passionate about education. You bring the motivation and we will provide a position which offers tremendous fulfilment, plus a fantastic range of training and support to develop your skills in this sector.

Salary: £14,211 - £16,635 (subject to qualifications and experience)
