Business Development Manager (Costume Jewellery Brand)

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join this prestigious and privately-owned International Fashion Distribution Business.

THE ROLE

The main focus of the role is targeting key retailers and independents, to introduce UK Creatives, develop rapport and drive sales this will involve a mixture of cold calling and following up on warm leads.

You will also be responsible for managing accounts and building relationships with existing clients.

As Business Development Manager, your main responsibilities will be generating new leads, chasing these leads and closing deals in order to grow profitable revenues for the company by targeting the relevant retail industry identified by the business.

You will be offering a wide range of both branded and licensed adult and children's' jewellery and fashion accessories. Examples of our successful licensing partnerships include: Disney, Abbey Clancy, Paddington, Snowdog, Beatrix Potter to name a few!

During peak trading season, you may be required to assist with other product lines such as our successful swimwear collection.

KEY TASKS

*Work with the MD to develop a sales and marketing strategy to maximise the licensed products
*To develop further licensing opportunities
*To manage, develop and nurture existing customer relationships
*Manage budgets and operational targets, implement with the MD processes to maximize income and profitability. Be responsible for review of sector and customers to target
*Be responsible for the licensing of products
*Building on the Company's strength and growing the portfolio of clients
*Building business relations with both new and existing accounts
*Competitor mapping
*Creation of leads database
*Production of presentations to clients/prospects

THE CANDIDATE

Knowledge and Experience:

*The ideal Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of sales within the licensed jewellery sector specifically selling silver and gold costume jewellery.
*A minimum of 5 years' experience of selling branded / licensed costume jewellery to stand alone retailers, department stores and independents
*A proven track record of meeting sales targets and objectives
*Have a 'black book' of contacts and leads
*You must have excellent communication, and negotiation skills with exposure to the enterprise marketplace
*You must be passionate about the product you are selling and be well presented as a large part of the role will involve meeting existing and new clients

The successful business development manager will be a vibrant and self-motivated individual who can work under pressure to meet and exceed their sales targets, a hunger and drive to succeed is key.

Experience within a jewellery/fashion sales role is essential and experience within selling internationally is also needed; International contacts are very important. The Business Development Manager will need to be well organised, confident and a great communicator.

The Package:

For the position of Business Development Manager, you will be offered a basic salary of £25,000- £40,000 depending on experience and a strong commission structure offering an OTE of £50,000 per annum.
