The employee currently in the post is relocating so an exciting position in the finance team has come about.
Your new role
You will be working closely with the Head of Finance as the Assistant Financial Accountant. There is also an Accounts Assistant that you will have to help support. You will be responsible for the General Ledger work and Financial Accounts plus completing credit control duties. On a daily basis you will be using Access Dimensions system plus Excel.
Duties will include:
- Credit control plus checking and adjusting credit limits as necessary (3 ledgers USD, EUR, GBP)
- Aged debtor reporting
- Month end closure - accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Inter-company transactions
- Fixed asset register maintenance and calculations
- Weekly and monthly sales reports
- Stock valuation and reconciliation
- Monthly reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
- Statutory reporting
- Month end FX revaluation
- Provide assistance to Head of Finance as required
What you'll need to succeed
For this role you must have 3/4 years experience in BOTH credit control and GL/FA duties. You must be a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA). You should be hard working but also fit in to a relaxed SME environment. Due to the size of the team you should be flexible to complete a wide variety of tasks and be keen to gain a broad exposure of duties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to complete the credit control duties. Ideally you will have used Access Dimensions system before and be an intermediate user of Excel.
