Marketing Assistant/Account Executive

Jackie Wilsher Staff Service are recruiting for an Marketing Assistant/Account Executive for a company working in Milton Keynes.


Programme Management:

" Build a good understanding of the timescales and schedules involved in delivering a programme, working efficiently to deadlines.
" Good organisational and personal time management skills.
" Results and delivery focused, often requires the willingness to work long hours, often under pressure.
" Highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively.
" Effective use of information sources, how do you know what information may be important to find?
" General Media Knowledge - keeping abreast of current news stories and media.
" Physical planning of resources using agency systems, working with Programme Delivery Team to identify requirements.
" Thoroughly check all work before sending and read content amendments.
" Programme support as designated by department directors, taking full responsibility for allocated tasks.
" Monitor progress of programmes and escalate any concerns.
" Ensure client programmes and supporting documentation (Job Bags) are with the relevant department every morning by 08.30 in line with planned / scheduled work.
" Manage simultaneous programmes and activities to meet agreed deadlines.
" Have the ability to deliver large, data intensive client programmes concurrently through to a successful conclusion.
" Assist the team with all aspects of a programme.
" Pick up the baton when team members are absent to support the department where necessary.
" Works with specialist teams including Business Strategy Directors; Content Marketing, Inbound Marketing and Marketing Automation to deliver multiple simultaneous programmes.
" Assists in the preparation of documentation for internal and client meetings.
" Ensures programme documents are complete, current, and stored/filed appropriately along with any hard copies of client work.
" Consistently delivers high quality services to our internal team and clients.
" Open jobs on agency workflow system.
" Arrange deliveries where required.
" Book and set up meeting rooms and provide refreshments and lunch as required, delivering service in line with agency standards.
" Arrange car parking for clients
Programme Accounting:
" Good business sense with the ability to work to predetermined budgets
" Become involved with client quotations and invoicing, updating forecasting system where appropriate.
" Increased hours may be required to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
" Work with Programme Managers to manage service levels, maximising time efficiency without affecting quality.
" Obtain supplier costs from preferred. supplier list. Seek authorisation of cost before raising a purchase order
" Suggest suitable suppliers for new services seeking authorisation from Operations Director

Client Management:

" Relationship Builder with current clients, prospects and internal staff as these are your mentors.
" Service Driven Approach - the client always comes first, conduct, politeness, helpfulness.
" Work with Programme Manager and delivery team to build excellent and mutually fulfilling long term relationships.
" Listen to and quickly understand client requirements, work with Programme Manager to devise solutions to meet those requirements.
" Build relationship and gain trust of client so that they are happy to talk to you in the absence, or instead of, another member of the Programme Delivery Team.
" Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met.
" Understand up?sell opportunities and discuss with the Programme Delivery Team.
" Deliver against client expectations. Ensure steps taken to exceed client expectations are done without over servicing.
" Ensure consistent and proactive client communication is maintained to high standards.
" Understand what is required in taking a client brief to assist in the internal briefing process.
" Customer service - be able to approach a potentially awkward situation i.e. attention to detail with both client and the broader team in a pleasant but persuasive manner.


" Update / articulate clearly and concisely on programme progress and client satisfaction to the rest of the Programme delivery team.
" A professional and approachable manner with good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients.
" Become increasingly confident and authoritative with briefing work to other departments; develop a creative "eye" and a feel for what the client is looking for.
" Be available for client communication at all times.
" Develop an understanding of a broad range of communication methods.
" Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
" Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
" Understand client requirements; work with specialist teams to deliver demand generation solutions to meet those requirements.

Essential Experience:
1+ years' experience in an account management / marketing assistant experience

Ideally you will be a graduate in either Marketing or Business

PC literacy to an advanced level in Word, Excel, Access and Email is essential.

Excellent grammar
