This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Director to join this cutting-edge venture in the heart of London’s West End. With their extensive client list (practically a Who’s Who of the UK retail world), it is likely you have come across their interactive products when out shopping. They are looking for an ambitious, motivated and hard-working senior sales superstar who is committed to growing the business to new heights.
As a Business Development Director, it will be your sole responsibility to handle the entire sales process for most new clients. You will utilise your existing clients and contacts within the retail and marketing sector to generate leads from which to book meetings, create opportunities and win deals.
From introductory calls, meetings, pitches to client management, you’ll be involved in every step. In time, you’ll also help determine long-term goals and build a team around you. It is vital you have a strong understanding of the retail market and its buying processes. Your brief can be summarised in just three words: Make It Happen.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years’ sales experience with a background in Retail, Marketing or Branding. Your contact book will mean you can open doors quickly and your market insight will ensure that you aim for the right targets. You must have a proven track record of increasing revenue through the qualification of leads, excellent presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to maintain a loyal client base. You may come from a retail buying background or sold services into the retail sector. Anyone that’s worked within creative agencies offering branding or marketing to the retail world is especially welcome.
