1st line Support Engineer
£17500 (on call allowance circa 3.5K)
Are you passionate about IT and looking to join a market leading, innovative software based company? This well established and growing company based close to Fareham, Hampshire, are looking to recruit 1st Line Support Engineers. This role will involve resolving support issues by telephone and email, and monitoring the support ticket queues within ITIL environment. You will be exposed to many internet and web technologies and a vast array of LAN technologies too.
The team respond to support incidents from both end user customers and resellers. The role involves some interaction with the development process, both in reporting bugs and assisting developers in ensuring correct remediation.
Key skills:
?Experience in a 1st line support type role
?Good knowledge of Internet technologies and how they work at a protocol level.
?Good understanding of TCP/IP networking
?Customer Service experience
?Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephone and email manner.

Desirable experience:
*Proxy and web filtering.
*Active directory.

Salary: £17500 plus an on call allowance of c £3.5K. Shift patterns include 8:30am-5pm, 01:30pm - 10:00pm, 16:30pm-1am, 00:30am - 9am (1 in 6).

This role may suit an individual who has held the following roles: Help Desk, Service Desk, IT Technician, Network Support Analyst, Network Engineer, First Line Support or a recent graduate with some commercial experience.
