About the Admissions team
Our Admissions team perform a key role in recruiting high-quality students from around the globe to our international colleges throughout the UK. Every student that enters one of our programmes has to fulfil the entrance criteria (usually grades and transcripts from their high school education) and complete the many stages involved with obtaining their Tier 4 visa. As a team, Admissions take responsibility for student throughout this process which typically takes several months from start to finish.
About the role
We are now looking for an Admissions Officer, who will look after our students from the point that they accept our offer and pay their first deposit through to arrival in the UK. Our students and their families are making a very significant investment when they enrol to study in the UK. Our goal is to provide the best follow-up after acceptance which results in delighted customers who feel well cared for and supported before and as well as after arrival.
Your key day to day tasks will consists of inputting information onto the UKVI database in order to generate visa documents, following up by phone to confirm next steps and guide students through the process as well providing on-going support by phone or email about life in the UK, course details and accommodation. In terms of workload, we envisage that it’s about 50% telephone work and 50% administrative support.
There are excellent opportunities for development and progression both within the Admissions team and the wider KI Higher Education business.
To perform the role to a high level, you will need:
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent telephone manner including a positive tone of voice and an ability to enunciate clearly
- Ability to input data quickly and accurately
- Aptitude for building rapport and influencing
- Interest in customers and helping them to achieve their goals
- Sociable, friendly disposition
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Willingness to work flexible hours where required (including some weekends during critical periods)
Also desirable would be:
- One or more language other than English
- Strong Excel skills
