1st Step Solutions are currently working on behalf of our client, an independent Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design and build engineering and contracting business.
We are seeking out a commercially minded Procurement Manager to effectively manage the Procurement Department to ensure the provision of materials, equipment and services to meet installation standards, schedules and budget targets.
This position requires a strategic understanding of business and the importance of purchasing and supply chain management. Experience of working in a purchasing/procurement environment with a particular bias on procurement of mechanical and electrical contracting would be helpful.
The Procurement Manager will lead and develop the company's supply chain management capability, and in doing so, bring long term bottom line improvements. You would be responsible for negotiating supply agreements and mange performance to ensure all identified savings/benefits are realised.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for building a highly motivated and experienced team that continuously drives value for the business. You will need to develop relationships with internal customer and direct and ensure the provision of a professional service to project teams.
