Our client is well-established leader in Foreign Exchange (FX) with over 30 years’ success across the world. With a strong team in their new London Head Office, they are now looking for the next generation of sales superstars to drive their growth.

Role

Based in their new central London office, the role is simple in theory though rather more difficult in practice! Do it well and you’ll earn yourself a brilliant living and learn skills that you’ll use for the rest of your life.

It will be your job to develop business with new corporate clients over the phone. You’ll need good research skills to uncover the right people as well as good organisational skills to access the companies already on their database. Once on the phone speaking to prospective clients, you’ll need to convey the professional image of the company in order to establish the credibility needed to start a discussion. Great questioning skills plus the curiosity to listen to the answers will open up opportunities to present the company’s credentials. For those companies interested, you’ll be setting up next steps such as a meeting or call with one of your more senior colleagues. Find the right people, gain their interest, book next steps - simple, eh?!

Once you have proven yourself a success in this role, there is a clear career path to a more senior sales role in which you have people booking next steps for you to speak to new clients. That’s when the real money and career development kicks in.

Person

It’s your attributes that matter more than your experience though some experience of generating new business over the phone will be welcomed. In addition, you probably have an interest in the world of Foreign Exchange. The attributes our client wants are: hunger (giving you the motivation to overcome the tough days you’ll have); confidence (to speak to senior people who are busy); enthusiasm (to sound good over the phone); and the ability to speak clearly over the phone. As full training will be provided, you should also be a quick and willing learner. If you have all of these attributes, a potentially lucrative and rewarding career awaits you - and you’ll be taught how to make the most of it!

Package

The starting salary for this role is £20,000pa with likely first year earnings of £25-30,000 when you add in your commission. Year 2 should see you earning £50-60,000pa and, by Year 3, you could be taking home £70-80,000 a year. In addition, there are several employee benefits available, such as BUPA membership, £2,000 pa staff currency allowance and a pension scheme with company contributions to match yours. The training programme you’ll receive should also be seen as a significant addition to your overall package. It could well be the most valuable part!
