Permanent Position as an Adaptations Surveyor within the Public Sector and Government for a large Housing Association based in East London, paying £30,000-£33,000 per annum

Client Details

Client are a Large Housing Association within the Public Sector and Government

Description

As an Adaptations Surveyor, candidates will:

  • Visit clients in their own homes and assess the adaptations work required, having regard to the client's choice and the needs of property
  • To provide detailed technical advice to the HIA's occupational therapists with regard to the feasibility of proposed works carrying out joint visits where necessary
  • To carry out surveys of properties and prepare technical drawings (using AutoCad) and detailed specifications for works
  • To carry out risk assessments with regard to CDM regulations and to ensure all health and safety risks are identified and appropriate mitigation measures are put in place
  • To arrange estimates for the proposed works from contractors on the HIA's contractors register, evaluate tenders and make recommendations regarding the agreed contractor

Profile

A successful Adaptations Surveyor candidate will:

  • Have experience using AutoCad
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma in Building Maintenance/ Construction Contracting Operations (surveying) or equivalent
  • An excellent communicator to your customer audience, presenting care and support, including home improvement issues in a user-friendly manner
  • A strong commitment to customer service and overall service excellence
  • Sound knowledge of the needs and issues facing the customer group
