About the School - English Teacher & KS4 Coordinator
Located in Enfield, North London this modern Academy School has recently just been awarded 'Good' status from Ofsted - for the third time in a row. The school produces some of the highest grades in the borough and keen to continue this positive trend. The school achieves these results in an area well known for high EAL, SEN and free school meal numbers of which the school is well above average in all. The school's success can be attributed to a number of different factors but the skill and commitment shown by the teaching staff at the school plus the consistent behaviour policy have played a key role. Due to a teacher leaving for relocation the school has an opportunity for an English Teacher to join on a permanent basis who is keen to coordinate KS4, ideally from April.

About the Role - English Teacher & KS4 Coordinator
This role will see the successful applicant teach a varied timetable of English across key stage 3 to 5. The school has small class sizes with a maximum of 25 per class plus most lessons have additional support in the form of graduate TA's. The department is well staffed with 12 full time teachers who have varying levels of experience. The department is headed up by an inspirational HOD who is committed to staff development and runs an 'open door' policy regarding as issues. This role has the additional responsibility of the coordination of Key Stage 4 for which the post holder will receive extra non-teaching time as part of their timetable.
