Procurement Officer – Maintenance Contracts

Central London

£30,000 - £35,000

You will be part of a team, working collaboratively with other departments and building strong working relationships with stakeholders to identify business needs.

You will be responsible for the procurement of Maintenance contracts, and your key responsibilities will be:

• Outsourcing, tendering and negotiation of key contracts

• Supplier Relationship Management of the supply chain

• Category Management

• Procurement Advice to all staff

• Mobilisation of new projects

Key skills

• Ability to identify the needs, specify services and goods required.

• Prepare tenders, selecting tendering/analysis and presenting recommendations to senior management

• Negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors the terms and conditions, rates and service provided to meet the quality standard of the organization

• Set up several service & maintenance contracts

• Ensure that suppliers honour their commitments to price, quality and service delivery

• To encourage on-going innovation and efficiency

• Understanding of user "wants and needs" and aligning these with business strategy

• Management of categories on a business wide perspective

• Deep understanding of suppliers and supply markets

• Creating and delivery of category sourcing plans

• Effective cross functional and collaborative team working

• Rationalise the supplier base and develop stronger purchasing leverage over key suppliers/Subcontractors through the negotiation of supply agreements

• Attend site visits with Service managers to review supply chain performance

Person Specification

• Minimum 3 year of experience in procurement or relevant experience in supply chain

• Experience in cooperation with international vendors and internal customers

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Educated to CIPS or Degree level
