Residential Support Worker Waking Nights Children's homes
WAKING NIGHT SHIFTS 22:00pm-8:30am Must be Flexible and be able to work late and be effective in this timeframe.
Immediate starts available for someone with experience of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a residential setting. This opportunity comes from a well established company with a therapeutic ethos.
Excellent training and progression within the service is encouraged. You will need to be flexible to working a residential care rota which includes evening weekends and holiday periods and must be able to engage service users and channel their energy and emotions towards positive activities. The role encompasses all aspects of caring for young people within residential care, including supporting the development of their independence, social and life skills and working with the team to provide a safe and secure environment. You will need to be compassionate and resolute and able to manage challenging behaviours confidently.
