polkadotfrog is currently recruiting for a Junior / Graduate 1st Line Support Engineer to join our clients growing team offering support services to global customers. Our client is working with a wide range of cutting edge technologies to deliver its services, and is actively scaling its services on a global basis to support its growth.
This role will be part of a training scheme which includes a broad, cross functional IT training programme and personal development plan. You will be offered structured career development within the business and are will also be actively encouraged to complete external certification and further qualifications. My client is also offering funded foundation degrees and other qualifications including paid study leave whilst working.
Within this new role you will be involved in IT activities including; 1st Line Support, monitoring alarms, alerts and system performance to ensure service levels are maintained and exceeded, taking remedial action to address issues in accordance with the prescribed processes. You will be trained on how to execute event and analyses reports for various stakeholders and also how to make recommendations on how to improve system monitoring, performance, processes and procedures. You will also be given the opportunity to work with SQL and operational tools.
This is a permanent position paying £13,000-£16,000 offering Microsoft/Cisco Certifications with the view of after a year (or potentially before) you have the opportunity to be promoted to other support teams.
Within this role you will be working as part of a shift environment which is rotated regularly.
It is essential applicants have a proven interest or commercial experience within IT and be keen to learn on the job as well as study in your own time.
