We are looking for a reliable and hard working legal secretary who has experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing. You will need to be able to provide efficient and effective support to the team.

Person specification - Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Audio typing - 60+ words per minute
  • Good working knowledge of Word software
  • High standard of English grammar and spelling
  • General administration/office skills
  • Telephone skills
  • Time management skills
  • Good knowledge of the conveyancing process
  • Experience in handling the administrative side of both residential and commercial conveyancing transactions.

Practical skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly/effectively in English
  • Ability to deal sensitively with clients
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of using office equipment, e.g. photocopiers, scanners, fax machines
  • Filing experience
  • Diary management
  • Knowledge of forms/layouts used in legal documentation

  • Answering the telephone/taking messages
