Employer Engagement Manager
Salary - c£35k + Bonus
Location - West Midlands & London

This is a great opportunity to join a successful organisation with 25 years’ experience moving people into employment and training opportunities. Due to the success of its SFA/ESF programmes they are looking to expand their business development function by bringing in a strong and experienced Manager to lead on sales and manage a team.

The objective of this role will be to focus on developing work experience placements for learners aged 16-24 on both Traineeship and Study Programme courses.

The role will involve a significant amount of travelling between The West Midlands and London covering seven different training centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead on business development for the Traineeships and Study Programme contracts across the West Midlands and the South East
  • To build long-standing and professional business relationships by effectively utilising a range of business development techniques
  • To performance manage, motivate and develop a team of Employer Engagement Consultants based in centres across the West Midlands and South East.
  • To match the specific needs of the employer with the right business solution, to account manage the entire process professionally and look for opportunities to up-sell other services

Essential Applicant Requirements

  • Proven success in building and maintaining effective business relationships within the training & employment sector and a record of meeting and exceeded targets
  • Experience within a management or team leader role and an ability to motivate and performance manage a sales team to achieve results
  • Knowledge and experience of Traineeships is desirable
  • Experience/understanding of funded training and employment initiatives
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of the labour market
  • Experience managing staff remotely
  • Applicants must be willing to travel extensively as part of this role
