I am currently looking to recruit for a Finance Assistant position for a rapidly growing Telecommunications business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the successful running of the Accounts Payable function. They will also take responsibility for processing staff expenses and providing staff expenses, whilst assisting in the preparations of the monthly management accounts and VAT returns.

* Responding for all supplier queries
* Process and reconcile credit card transactions
* Review of all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Preparation of payment runs in line with credit terms and company policy
* Review and processing of staff expenses in line with company policy
* Managing petty cash
* Assist in month-end close and maintenance of general ledger accounts
* Provide support across the finance team on an ad hoc basis
* Bank reconciliations and maintenance of cash schedules

Skills and Experience Required
Must come from a Telecoms or Technology background
Previous practical experience of tasks above
Knowledge of Sage or a comparable standard accounting software would be advantageous
Excel knowledge
Working within a team environment
