Ecommerce Admin & Online Marketing Assistant

Job Role:

We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic, organised and analytical person with commercial awareness and a keen eye for detail to join our Online Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing multi-channel company in Devon, within a young and dynamic department. The company owns and distributes branded products to the retail sector including action sports, lifestyle clothing and toys. You will gain experience of working across all areas of an Ecommerce business.

You will be supporting the Online Team with ecommerce marketing and administration tasks. You will primarily be responsible for ensuring that our online product listings across a range of sales channels are accurate, eye catching and converting. You will be responsible for the administration of creating new products in our online CMS by compiling the available copy, images, videos and any other necessary content, attributes and data. You will also be responsible for ongoing optimisation of existing product listings, working with internal teams to develop and improve product content.

You will also be required to assist the Online Team with general ecommerce administration tasks required such as website merchandising, stock management, payment processing and order management. This role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and good computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating new products in our online CMSin a timely manner and generally managing our product catalogue to ensure that product content is up to date, accurate and effective.

  • Optimising existing product content (descriptions, titles, images etc.) and publishing them across relevant channels.

  • Working with Marketing and Design teams to update and improve product content.

  • Front end merchandising of websites and marketplace sales channels.

  • Assisting with administration of operations behind all channels.

  • Reporting on successes/challenges against KPIs.

  • Any other tasks deemed by the Company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role.

  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge.

Person Specification:

  • Full training given, so willingness to learn is as important as relevant experience.

  • Enthusiastic, bright and ambitious with commercial awareness.

  • Highly computer literate and proficiency in office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Methodical, very organised with high attention to detail.

  • Strong English writing and reading skills.

  • Knowledge of SEO & HTML an advantage.

  • Ability to work proactively on own initiative and also as part of the team.
