Channel Sales Manager - Software Licensing / Cross Cultural Training

Company Background

My client originates and provides learning and development programmes for global enterprise businesses. Their bespoke content and materials help business leaders, managers and teams to thrive in the global and borderless workplace and they deliver this training virtually and in the classroom for globally dispersed audiences.

They are creating a totally new job and wish to hire a successful sales person to define and develop the role of Channel Sales Manager from a standing start.

The CSM will take to market a powerful e-learning software tool that allows users to learn everything there is to know about the business culture of 65 different countries and how to ensure outstanding international collaboration and working practices through deeper cross-cultural understanding. The product has low implementation costs, 24/7 flexible access and can be adapted to specific learning needs. It’s currently used by some of the world’s best-known organisations.

Purpose of the role

Working with the MD and marketing manager, the Channel Sales Manager will help to develop channel strategy and purpose, then recruit, train, manage and motivate the partner network to meet targets and achieve KPI’s. The markets ripe for channel sales include Global Mobility and Relocation, Corporate Travel, Cross Cultural Training, Learning & Development and Language Schools.

Desired skills and experience

To be considered, candidates must have experience of;

  • Business-to-business sales and a track record of sales success and consistent employment.
  • Demonstrable experience building channel partnerships
  • Know how to find, engage and close decision-makers
  • Track record of target achievement through partners
  • Nurture customer relationships and extend opportunity

Previous experience in the sale of software, training or similar 'packaged’ solutions would be ideal, but sales 'energy’, strong interpersonal skills, sales drive and good commercial acumen are considered to be equally important.

Candidates must live within comfortable commuting distance of the Guildford office, but the role offers flexibility to work from home.

Base salary range £35’000-£45’000 DOE OTE £60’000-£70’0000 uncapped.
