Central Employment are looking to recruit an engaging Senior Account Manager based in central London. Working alongside UK brands, the Senior Account Manager will have a proven B2B, Digital, Web based background.

You will have responsibility for the development and retention of designated accounts from the agency client portfolio as well as new business wins. You will act as the link between the client and the agency, planning, organising and monitoring projects. You will be accountable for the profitability of designated clients and will need to demonstrate that you can work autonomously to develop engaging and profitable client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic plans for the account(s)
  • Develop the commercial opportunities for the agency and for the client
  • Guide and consult with the clients
  • Ability to demonstrate mature, sophisticated relationship development
  • Drive business growth, develop proactive plans
  • Deliver against agreed account plan and budgets
  • Lead the team, giving direction and support and ensure the agency has the correct level of skills to deliver for the clients
  • Monitor and review the processes to ensure we deliver as an agency


  • Responding to client requests and briefs - by email, phone, in person
  • Developing and finessing client requests and briefs into briefing documents to ensure accurate delivery of work
  • Developing timing and costing structures around projects
  • Briefing internal teams and managing work flow with traffic and project managers
  • Checking outputs from internal team against briefs and client expectations
  • Presenting outputs to clients and agreeing refinements and further requirements
  • Securing sign-off prior to distribution
  • Ensuring receipt of daily campaign reports as required
  • Liaising with internal teams on strategic and data analysis requirements
  • Managing and updating status reports
  • Weekly attendance at face-to-face client meetings
  • Development of monthly project billing including liaising with accounts department to ensure accurate invoicing, and client to ensure receipt of purchase orders
  • Campaign reporting on previous campaigns

Ideal knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • 6-10 years of working in marketing
  • Sector experience - B2B, drinks, FMCG, retail, hospitality, but more importantly the ability to take information and build strategies for our client, sell them in and get them delivered
  • Strong strategic and negotiation skills
  • Ability to integrate and co-operate with different functions
  • Data - knowledge of how data works and what we can do with it. Equally an understanding on supporting and integrating technologies
  • Digital - understand what’s going on and opportunities to use different technology and channels
  • Team leadership and management experience
  • Understanding of trade segmentations
  • Understanding of using data to manage customers
  • Need to navigate large and complex client organisations
  • Dealing at director level
  • Good technical understanding at a micro and macro level
