An IT Senior Projects Engineer is required to join a successful Technology Services company. The company delivers a variety of outsourced, managed & project services across a wide range of clients in the SMB/SME marketplace.

They are looking for a highly motivated, Senior Projects Engineer to join them on a permanent basis, someone who wants to be part of a growing, dynamic team of people that work hard to achieve the best result for their clients. You must be well presented, able to communicate effectively (both face-to-face, over the phone & in written English), have sound time management skills, be a committed & flexible team player & relish success.

You should be able to build rapport with clients & convey technical work in "plain English" rather than geek-speak. It is also essential that you have an analytical mind, are able to troubleshoot effectively & with tenacity.

You will report to the Technical Director & your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Leading IT projects - solo or leading other team members.
- Providing pre-sales technical advice to clients & sales staff.
- Designing and specifying in-depth technical solutions to meet client requirements.
- Installation & configuration of projects.
- Thorough documentation (progress & final) when delivering projects.
- Innovative operational improvements for the mutual benefit of your co-workers, the company & clients.
- Mentoring less experienced Engineers.
- Designing, installing, configuring, migrating solutions & supporting SMB/SMEs.

MCSE & CCNA qualifications are desirable, but experience in the following is essential:

- Previous experience in a MSP role.
- Exchange - all levels including Office365 & hybrid deployments.
- Windows Server - Server 2008 onwards with in depth understanding of AD, DNS & DHCP.
- Terminal Server/RDS - Server 2008 onwards.
- Network Infrastructure - excellent TCP/IP knowledge with experience of VLANs, VPN with Draytek, Meraki and HP switch knowledge advantageous.
- Virtualisation - Hyper-V & VMWare including high availability & SANs.
- VoIP Systems - experience in VoIP based telephony would be advantageous.
