Business Manager - Rexel - Park Royal


Park Royal, one of Rexel’s most successful and profitable branches has a rare opportunity for a new Business Manager to take ownership of the day to day running of the branch.

You will be responsible for building on the branch’s existing success within the electrical supplies sector and steering the business to deliver a customer service second to none and to achieve sales, margin and commercial targets.

  • Responsible for local customer service (including deliveries)

  • Define terms and conditions for new customers in accordance with national pricing guidelines, credit guidelines and ensure they are maintained

  • Manage a portfolio of c.15 existing customers;

    • Increase the number of SKU’s to these accounts and prevent customer attrition

    • Make a minimum of 5 proactive calls per week to attract new customers

    • Identify branch customer profile (short/long term) and take appropriate action to develop and maximise these relationships

  • Implement marketing actions defined centrally

  • Drive multi-channel adoption at branch level

  • Capture all customer interactions in the CRM tool


  • Define financial (P&L) objectives for the branch and implement action plans to achieve them

  • Drive sales, margin and profit performance to meet and exceed branch targets;

    • P&L responsibility

    • Execution of the sales process


  • Provide strong Values-led leadership to the branch team, leading by example and ensuring similar behaviours are demonstrated at branch level

  • Drive branch performance through effective performance management of branch team

  • Ensure all branch staff are fully trained in all key areas; product knowledge, selling skills and customer service

  • Effective management of branch recruitment, on boarding, coaching and exiting and all other people processes


  • Ensure branch complies with all group processes

  • Manage live inventory;

    • Define branch assortment based on the offer plan

    • Branch profile to be provided to P&I

    • Manage branch stock and liaise with P&I as relevant to solve issues
