It is essential that the role holder works well with partners and is able to identify, facilitate, track and monitor the pursuit of significant new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be bright, confident and possess strong communication skills.

The suitable Candidate will have more than five years' experience working in a BD role in a professional services environment within a law firm. A thorough understanding of the Litigation market and drives forward objectives and actions of the BD team to meet the commercial needs of the firm.

* Drives the positioning of their brand through Client service and leadership.

* Manage key Client relationships.

*Work with the PSL team on submissions to the main Legal directories/awards and advises practices on how best to promote their capabilities.

* Implement a range of targeting and cross-selling initiatives in support of the departmental and sector focuses.

* Identify topics for thought leadership and design supporting campaigns.

* Strengthen the BD skills of the department's lawyers and raise awareness of the support the wider BD team can provide.

* Plan and manage the budget.
