The SMT Operator Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SMT Operator to joina rapidly expanding, and well established company. As the SMT Operator you will be expected to set and operate modernsurface mount assembly machines. You will also produce double sided SMTPCBAs fitted with QFPS, BGAS including Micro BGAs including 0201technology. In addition, the SMT Operator will ensure a high standard ofaccuracy and compliance is retained within the SMT assembly operation atall times. Key Responsibilities of the SMT Operator: - Responsible for surface mount manufacturing, with both automatedequipment and manually set-up, operation, and minor adjustment of SMT equipment - Monitor and maintain equipment to meet company standards andresponsible for quality assurance and documentation to produce andmonitor good quality product - Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform thefunctions of the job. Interpret documentation such as Bill of Materialsand Drawings - Operate Computer controlled surface mount assembly machinery tosuccessfully assemble Surface mount Technology Printed circuit assemblies - Read machine error codes and correct placement & printingproblems on a modern pick & placement line - Hand place SMT parts accurately onto circuit assemblies and be ableto kit and de kit SMT placements machines and set up printing programson automatic stencil printers - Operate computer controlled equipment. A high degree of care of thecomponents they handle minimising loss of parts during handling - Document all work completed on the SMT process paperwork. IdentifySMT component types and their different package styles Skills & Experience Required: - High school diploma or its equivalent and 2-5 years of experience inthe field or in a related area - Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within aparticular field - Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals - Knowledgeable in reading electrical component values - Certain degree of creativity and latitude is required - Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel In return, the SMT Operator can expect a competitive salary, and goodbenefits package.
