Sales Executive - Software Licensing / Cross Cultural Training

Company Background

My client originates and provides learning and development programmes for global enterprise businesses. Their bespoke content and materials help business leaders, managers and teams to thrive in the global and borderless workplace and they deliver this training virtually and in the classroom for globally dispersed audiences.

They are expanding their sales team - and need to hire a graduate Sales Executive to focus on selling a powerful e-learning software tool to the Learning & Development and Global Mobility departments within enterprise customers and corporate end-users.

The software allows users to learn everything there is to know about the business culture of 65 different countries and how to ensure outstanding international collaboration and working practices through deeper cross-cultural understanding. The product has low implementation costs, 24/7 flexible access and can be adapted to specific learning needs. It’s currently used by some of the world’s best-known organisations.

Purpose of the role

Expansion of the user base through additional licence sales is the goal and using leads generated by the dedicated marketing function - they are targeted to generate incoming sales enquiries - and sophisticated prospect automation software, the Sales Executive will develop and promote the software licence proposition through virtual presentation using WebEx, selling face-to-face and by telephone. The potential customer is both UK and international, so there’s plenty of variety and different challenges to meet.

The customer base is likely to be businesses and organisations that trade internationally, or that operate across borders or virtually - and will range in nature from investment banks and insurers, to advertising agencies, professional services providers such as management consultancies, accountants and the legal profession, technology companies - the potential market is massive.

Desired skills and experience

To be considered, candidates must have experience of;

  • Business-to-business sales and a track record of sales success and consistent employment.
  • Know how to find, engage and close decision-makers
  • Nurture customer relationships and extend opportunity

Previous experience in the sale of software, training or similar 'packaged’ solutions would be ideal, but sales 'energy’, strong interpersonal skills, sales drive and good commercial acumen are considered to be equally important.

Candidates must live within comfortable commuting distance of the Guildford office.

£30-35’000 OTE £45’000-£55’000
