Our client, a global Financial Services organisation, is looking for an experienced PR/Press Officer to support the execution of an effective and proactive media strategy within the UK. Playing an active role in the development of the reputation of the brand, contributing to increasing the volume and quality of the organisations media coverage in the UK.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of communications plans for the business.
  • Providing media relations support and advice to various internal stakeholders and business heads.
  • Proactively seeking PR opportunities to profile various business, products and services in the media
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders and advising on media relations tactics, messaging and positioning to support the company's reputation.
  • Conceive, plan and execute pro-active media relations activities to help to support the business strategy of the organisation.
  • Develop captivating stories around the business to position them in compelling and innovative ways to the media.
  • Regularly contributing to team-wide media monitoring, journalist outreach and handling incoming enquiries to the newsroom.
  • Drafting by-lined articles, press releases, FAQS and other written materials to a high standard.

Experience required:

  • Current/recent experience in a media relations/PR role within the financial services sector.
  • Strong storytelling skills with proven ability to produce clear, engaging narrative.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Varied experience in reactive and proactive PR.
