An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join afresh food high volume restaurant & bar company based in Brighton. They are now looking for a strong Assistant General Manager who has a similar background working in a fast paced fresh food environment.

Job Description

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • The day to day running of the business
  • Involved in stock control and gross profit margins
  • Managing and inspiring at team of over 25
  • Experienced in table service
  • Staff recruitment
  • Maintaining brand standards
  • Training and development of staff
  • Working under pressure
  • Be able to think on your feet in order to solve problems

The Ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced Assistant General Manager with at least two years working in a fresh food quality dining restaurant/gastro pub environment
  • Able to develop and implement strategies to minimise wastage along with the Head Chef
  • Good understanding of stock control
  • Be able to manage large teams
  • Experience working towards targets
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • Dealing with senior Managers and Directors
  • Passionate about quality food and wine
  • Friendly and upbeat personality

The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record in the fresh food casual dining restaurant or an up market gastro pub industry or quality restaurant.
