PR COODINATOR – ASIA & THE MIDDLE EAST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities, to include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for press outreach in Asia, with a particular focus on China and Hong Kong based print and online publications
  • Building business relationships with key stylists, editors & digital influencers
  • Manage all sample and image requests for Asia, coordinating sample availability with the PR Officer
  • Using Fashion GPS for all sample requests: locating and carefully packing all samples, with the support of Studio Manager coordinating all deliveries and arranging couriers. Ensuring all samples are logged back into Fashion GPS and organised appropriately
  • Suggesting press gifting and send-outs
  • Achieve brand appropriate press coverage in print and digital media
  • Assist with organising UK press events, such as press days, editor breakfasts and pop-up events
  • Report into PR Officer with press coverage on a regular basis
  • Compiling and distributing press blasts and releases to key editors
  • Occasionally attending training event and workshops to keep up to speed with new developments, such as new social media strategies
  • Maintaining press sample rails and ensuring all samples are kept in an orderly fashion
  • Replying to press emails with credit, stockiest and price requests when required
  • General administrative support of PR department

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in Fashion PR
  • Fluent English, Cantonese & Mandarin speaking
  • Strong awareness of Asian publications
  • Strong awareness of Asian celebrity & influencers
  • Experience using Fashion GPS, Fashion Monitor and media monitoring systems
  • Displays brand awareness
  • Strong energetic character with positive can-do attitude
  • Good copy writing skills and attentional to detail
  • Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Polished & professional
  • Proven experience in a fast paced PR role
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Comfortable using an Apple Mac computer
