Job Title: HR Systems & Rewards Manager
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £42,955 - £51,230 (dependant on experience)
Location: City of London

Job Purpose:

To manage and develop HR Services' on-line Recruitment, HR and Payroll Systems, and maintain the HR Services' web pages. To act as the main point of contact for HR Services with IT Services, the Web Team, external software providers as well as managers across the organisation in relation to management information.

To develop HR Services' capacity for management information and to lead the HR Service work stream on measuring impact and the development of HR metrics/information

To work with the Reward and HR Systems Officer and HR Business Partners to ensure that the HERA job evaluation process is conducted consistently across all roles, and to research market pay data to advise where market supplements may be appropriate.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To develop and manage the iTrent HR/Payroll system and Stonefish Recruitment system.

* Degree (A/C)


Essential Criteria

* Substantial experience of system administration of an HR/payroll database and an online recruitment system in a large, complex organisation (A/I/T).

* High level knowledge and experience of the full Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (A/I/T)

* Substantial experience of using a third party reporting tool to produce management information (A/I)

* A good knowledge of HR processes and procedures, and an understanding/appreciation of the impact of legislation on them and data storage.

* High level understanding of payroll function

Desirable criteria

* Experience of using the 'Business Objects' reporting tool

* Experience of completing Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) returns, its data requirements, coding conventions, and scope.

* Knowledge of job evaluation and reward systems

* Knowledge of the Higher Education Role Analysis (HERA) job evaluation system

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (A/I/T)

* Strong statistical skills (A/I)

* Experience of staff management, agreeing clear objectives and organising and delegating tasks according to individual abilities and ability to work as part of a team (A/I)

* Experience of planning, prioritising and organising the work of yourself and others, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, whilst ensuring the effective use of resources. (A/I)

* Experience of using initiative and creativity to resolve problems that are unpredictable, identifying practical and suitable solutions.(A/I)
