Commercial Partnerships Manager - Aggregator

We're looking for a bright, experienced commercial account manager to join an entrepreneurial team in a FTSE 100 business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high profile "start-up" environment within a global corporate and further develop your learning and commercial acumen through hands on involvement in our comparison business.

You'll be working directly with colleagues who have worked in start-ups, management consulting and e-commerce businesses so expect to learn from them and be challenged!


The purpose of the role is to manage the loans comparison vertical on the aggregator site.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the commercial relationships with loan lenders
  • Identifying opportunities for growth with lenders through strategic initiatives and driving execution of these initiatives
  • Working with the product and marketing teams to build a market leading loans comparison service
  • Working with the finance team on monthly finance reconciliation processes
  • Ultimately responsible for driving the commercial performance of the loans vertical to hit our revenue targets

  • Have a "roll your sleeves up" attitude and aren't afraid to get involved in some of the nitty gritty. E.g. checking that urls work as expected, managing invoicing processes, checking that rates we display on the service are accurate
  • A team player, you like working with other teams to achieve great results
  • Capable of managing direct reports

The KPIs for this role can be defined in three categories:

Visit to click conversion rate

  • Understanding where improvements can be made to increase funnel metrics and working with the comparison product and optimisation team to drive improvements through testing and product functionality

Click to sale rate

  • Understanding click to sale rates by monitoring application and accept rate changes based on traffic quality and working with lenders to improve click to sale rates

Revenue per click

  • Monitoring revenues earned from each lender and leading analysis to understand commercial performance for the vertical

Key responsibilities:

Partner/account management:

  • Managing relationships with over 30 lenders to ensure that the best loan products are being offered to users
  • Developing deeper relationships with core lenders through a wide range of initiatives (e.g. pre-approved).

Commercial performance:

  • Ensuring the team meets the monthly revenue targets for each vertical
  • Monitoring the drivers for commercial performance on the vertical, including visits/leads/sales
  • Analysing and monitoring revenue per click for each lender and the drivers for change


  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the aggregator management team on performance of the loans vertical
  • Lead regular review sessions with our partners providing insights to partners which help further develop the commercial relationship

Finance reconciliation:

  • Working with the finance team to complete monthly invoicing processes


  • Working with compliance and our lenders to ensure the service is compliant at all times

Team management:

  • Manage one direct report with the potential to grow this team

Subject matter expertise:

  • Over time, become our subject matter expert in personal and secured loans

Knowledge, experience & qualifications


  • A 2:1 (or better) degree from a top-tier university


  • Experience in account management, preferably with demonstrable commercial management experience
  • Experience in financial services; credit cards, loans mortgages a plus
  • Comfortable with numbers and problem solving. Must be familiar with excel and generating insights through analysis
  • A "roll your sleeves up" and "team player" attitude
  • Great organisational skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • An interest in consumer finance
