Job title: Senior Electrical Estimator

Based (region/office): Eastern, Building Services Engineering Division, Newmarket office

Brief details of the position:

An experienced senior Electrical Estimator is required to join our successful team. The successful candidate will be required to develop initial project tender information into a developed detailed tender working closely with the pre-construction, operations and commercial depts. The ability to undertake stage 1 cost planning of electrical schemes will be an advantage.

Preferred experience will be required in the following sectors:

- Education

- Commercial

- Defence

- Science and Healthcare

- Student accommodation

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Production of fully developed compliant electrical tenders as part of the pre-construction bid team.

- Carryout alternative tender offers by way of value engineering.

General Duties:

Updating of estimating data base in line with regular prime cost updates, liaising and relationship building with Main contractor estimators and client bid teams, attendance at post tender interviews.

Essential Qualifications:

City & Guilds 236 1&2 (or NVQ equivalent) as a minimum or alternatively with HNC / HND building services engineering.

Essential Experience:

Proven successful track record in securing electrical projects of £1m to £5m.

Essential Personal Aptitudes and Skills:

Must be able to integrate and work well within a close knit team and work equally well under their own initiative.

Further Requirements:

Must be fully conversant with Estimation software, Microsoft Office.

Salary: Competitive, to be discussed at interview.
