Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to work in the Lowestoft area on a permanent basis.

Overall responsibility for the running of the finance function, who will be responsible for aiding business planning and decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial advice and undertaking related accounts administration.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all statutory accounts and reporting
  • Responsibility for all management reporting including production of a detailed monthly management report
  • Providing a control framework for all financial processes
  • Responsibility for all tax and VAT returns
  • Responsibility in managing cash collection, reporting weekly cash flows etc.
  • Ensuring outstanding invoices are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Attend management meetings
  • Ensuring of timely client invoicing and overseeing projects to ensure cash flow positive and delivery in line with client expectations
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts monthly
  • Maintain monthly analysis of fixed assets, prepayments, accrual accounts and other balance sheet accounts
  • Develop external relationships, for example; bankers, accountants
  • Liaise with auditors
  • Keep on top of changes in regulation and legislation and new industry developments

To be successful you will need:


  • At least AAT Qualified or qualified by experience
  • Confident self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to a broad range of people internally and externally including non-finance specialists
  • Knowledge of Sage50


  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and a computerised accounts / bookkeeping software package
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional courteous and positive manner
  • Comfortable with lone working
  • Excellent analytical ad interpretive ability
  • Experience of developing, delivering and monitoring financial strategy
  • Highly organised with ability to manage numerous projects at any one time and be disciplined within a flexible organisation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in both accounting and management
  • Occasional work on evenings and weekends during the busy season may be required
