Location: Oxford Circus, London

Salary: £24,000 (1st Year £48k OTE, 2nd year £62k OTE uncapped!)

Established in early 2012 and based at Oxford Circus, London, Our Client currently publish 16 regional newspapers per month, as well as running a highly trafficked and influential website. They have seen phenomenal growth over the past 3 years and are looking to expand their sales team with a driven, dynamic, and trustworthy individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Your role will involve contacting businesses to sell advertising within our clients printed papers, on their website, and through their social media platforms. To give you an insight into the role their latest addition to the team earns £400 commission a month plus basic with their top employee earning £3,500 (commission) plus basic a month.

You will be expected to have had experience in newspaper or magazine ad sales. You will be charged with your own territories and will be responsible for generating new leads and managing them.

  • Have excellent telephone skills; successful candidates will feel comfortable building rapport, developing business relationships and demonstrating products over the telephone
  • High level of business awareness to help build credibility with the prospect, spot potential opportunities within a peer group or industry sector.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills to build a solid and persuasive business case, overcome objections, use solid supporting information where necessary, and ensure sales opportunities are managed to a successful conclusion
