Oakleaf are proud to be partnering a leading technology business in North West London who is looking for a Sole Payroll Advisor to join the business on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of HR, your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Take ownership of all aspects of the outsourced payroll on a monthly basis (350 employees) - ensuring all changes are correctly captured, manage reconciliations and prepare payroll for sign off.

  • Monthly/quarterly and annual controls/financial reports regarding payroll (including statutory requirements)

  • Manage year end and statutory processes

  • Manage all employee benefits (including pensions auto enrolment)

  • Support annual salary review and out of cycle review processes by providing salary bench-making (internally and externally)

  • In the medium and longer terms, this person will take on responsibility for managing many other process and systems enhancements within the payroll and reward arena (for example introducing job grading and job families) as well as playing a key role in enhancing the company employee benefits offering.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • UK payroll experience is essential including working knowledge of HMRC rules, statutory entitlements (e.g. maternity, paternity, etc).

  • Experience must cover use of payroll systems (ideally ADP and others)

  • Must have advanced level Excel including pivot tables, v-look ups and formulas

  • Possess strong communication skills and have the confidence to answer queries directly

  • Accurate, high attention to detail and high standards are essential, together with numeracy and analytical ability
