My client would like to hear particularly from candidates who have worked for Homeware Companies, Decorating DIY Companies Mobile Phone companies (store based) Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedrooms, Tiles, Furniture Showrooms or similar

Please note this is a 7-day operation you will be working 5 days on and 2 days off working a shift between these hours not for the full duration

Monday - Friday: 8am - 10pm
Sat: 9am - 5pm
Sun: 10am - 4pm

Position Overview

Working together with the store manager and management team, the Assistant Store manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the showroom in the store manager’s absence. The assistant store manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of the store and sales advisors ensuring the store achieves its quarterly and annual targets by ensuring staff achieve targeted KPI’s and deliver excellent customer service throughout. Responsibilities include recruitment, staffing, training, implementing changes in processes and procedures with the assistance of senior management, loss prevention and to ensure the department runs as efficiently as possible at all times.

The Assistant Store Manager must be a leader, make informed decisions with the support of their store manager and set the standards for the rest of their team to follow.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensuring the Showroom is opened and closed securely on time on a daily basis.

Ensure the Showroom is well presented, clean and organised at all times.

Working with the showroom manager to manage the recruitment of new employees.

To achieve telephone KPI’s set in place by answering sales calls on a daily basis, up-selling/cross-selling products and processing sales orders.

To achieve In-Store KPI’s by taking sales within the Showroom, up-selling/cross-selling products and processing sales orders.

Motivate, train and mentor all staff to achieve individual KPI’s and targets.

Liaise with the store manager daily in order to improve any procedures and to prevent losses within the business.

Ensure that all staff work to their full potential and to identify staff that may require additional training, to increase their overall performance.

Discipline and performance management of the Showroom staff as and when required, in-line with company guidelines and with the support of your store manager.

Monitor the procedures currently in place and suggest changes to be made to improve the smooth running of the Showroom and to create ideas on how to optimise sales and motivate all sales staff.

Carrying out daily banking procedures and managing the use of petty cash.

Ensuring all health & safety checks are done and files are up to date to ensure the premises are safe for you, your staff and Customers at all times.

Covering staff sicknesses and ensuring your store is fully staffed at all times.
